I don’t know how many of you practice the art of Feng Shui in business, or even know what Feng Shui really is. An associate of mine through the Comox Valley Home Based Business Association, Terri Perrin of Fine Art of Intention lists the following definitions of Feng Shui on her website:
- Clearing Clutter,
- Arranging your Environment,
- Placing Symbolic Items, and
- Intention to Create Change.

So Monday I awoke with a new vision and a new image for my Photography Business which is a long way from the visuals I’ve used in the past. It’s cleaner, brighter, and simpler. When I woke up, the image was so clear that I immediately started the re-branding process and have pretty much rebuilt my website in the process. Navigation is cleaner and simpler, and the overall look and feel is just brighter.
The odd thing is this… Since the change on Monday, I’ve had calls from ALL OVER CANADA from people wanting to talk about commercial work done here in the Valley. It’s almost like I didn’t exist before. Like I’ve been lifted from the shadows and am now out in the open and clearly visible. It’s amazing! And then, this afternoon during a conversation with a friend, I mentioned that my brighter business look might be starting a brighter future for my business, and then I remembered Feng Shui.
So I started to think about those 3 items above. I’ve cleared out some clutter and re-arranged the site to more friendly and efficient. I’ve shown a clear intention to create change. Now I just have to figure out where to put the frog on my home page. Perhaps I should ask Terri!?
So here’s the real message for today… if you don’t know Feng Shui – learn a little about it. If you do know it, and haven’t applied it – shame on you! And if you have applied it and nothing changed, perhaps seek some help from Terri and try again. I’m pretty sure that I have accidentally performed some of my own Feng Shui and I’m liking the effects already!
cheers!
Thank you for the kind words, Norm. I loved it. And thank you so much for the link to my website.
As far as your frog goes…. frogs represent abundance. So, if you want abundant prosperity, put it in the top left hand corner, which is the prosperity corner. If you want abundant creativity, place it in the right side, half way up. That’s your creativity area. For abundant health, place it in the exact middle.
Thank You Terri! I’ve added a little pair of frogs to the Creativity area. The image also links back to your site. I figure that, in my line of work, creativity will lead to prosperity better than most things, so we’ll start there!
