In the back of my mind, there in the dark recesses of wandering thoughts and distant memories, there is a strong vision of the Downtown London that I knew back in the late 70s. It was our second home back then. Busy, clean, social and fun. But that was a long time ago. And things change. I know how things change!
Learning to be a Celebrity?! (or… now I know how it feels to be on the other side of the lens)
Last week, I had the chance to go to Toronto and meet the owner of a lively and prosperous Talent Agency called Karisma Talent Group. We chatted a little about life, past and future, and of course the modeling and acting worlds in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). I was surprised that she wants to represent me and put me ‘on the market’ as a candidate for positions on the other side of the lens!
Now appearing in an exciting new project!
I had the great pleasure to meet an interesting and passionate man this past week. Shawn Jason, owner of ILYPIO.COM, met with me over lunch downtown to discuss art, passion, life and love, and share with me the history and his dreams for this exciting project. ILYPIO, an acronym for ‘I Love You, Pass It On’, aims to promote arts and artists internationally, and increase exposure through a form of share based administration and marketing for those that take part in the project. Rather than duplicate the content of the site here, I encourage you to visit ILYPIO.com, and read over all of the content to fully understand the scope of the project, and how this will work to the benefit of all involved. And, be sure to drop into the directory of the Creative Team and check out the online store to find one of my very own works now displayed there. Of course, if you’re able to take part, I also encourage you to do just that. Whatever team you join, the contributions will help to ensure that everyone wins in this very innovative new project! Cheers Shawn! And to all… ILYPIO!
Taking the first step into the Den of Dragons…
Today has been interesting, and scary, and exciting, and more… It started over coffee around noon at home, relaxing and contemplating a rather quiet day, when a Facebook status from AM980 told me that the crew from Canadian Television show Dragon’s Den were here in London auditioning!
Warming up 2012!!
Well the past few months have been a little of a roller coaster. I took a diversion from Photography to explore another opportunity that came my way, and looked quite interesting. Sadly, things didn’t work out as I’d have liked, but on the up side, I’m now free to resume doing what I set out to do in the first place. So it’s back to marketing Photography services, and of course creating more artistic works and expanding the portfolios.
