This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with Miss Ana J. of Brantford! Ana came to me to be the first in a series of art photo sessions aimed at celebrating the beauty of the female form in light and shadow, as well as the coming of The Year of the Dragon (January 23, 2012).

Welcome the Year of the Dragon!
January 23rd sees the celebration of the Chinese New Year, and 2012 is the Year of the Dragon. In honor of this, I am presenting a new series of art nudes, featuring a range of black and white art images that include some representation of the Dragon in the art prints. Selections from the series will be on display at Art Fusion 21, starting January 21st. The opening will be held at APK Live – Third Floor, on the 21st, and then moves to the full time gallery of Art Fusion in the Citi Plaza (CIBC Entrance at Wellingon and King).

201 Bums!
I’ve been going almost non-stop since my last post, and I do apologize for not keeping you more informed, but there are several things that are coming up fast and November has been a crazy month so far. If the end run is as good as the first half, November will see several long term projects finally come to fruition and really get things going for me into 2012. Meanwhile… something to ponder…
OK, the concept is still rough but the full idea is gelling up fast. Here, in a nutshell, is the idea as I have it so far…

Coming one month from today – 11-11-11!
Planning is now fully underway and by the end of this week there will be a formal announcement if all goes according to plan. In short, we are in the process of putting together a show – including Art, Dance, Music and Fashion in one feature packed and exciting show that will mark the official launch of the Lavender Phoenix Project!

More changes… and look out October!
By now, you’ve likely noticed that the home page at http://njw.ca has undergone some serious changes, and more overall changes to the look and feel of my domain are underway in the days ahead. Rebuilding sites and writing new code, in addition to making the site more visual and colorful, also helps people to see on first contact with my site just a little more of what I do without needing to hunt around.
